The Westside's Breakfast Answer, Since 1979

The Omelet House on West Charleston has been serving breakfast in Las Vegas since 1979. The room runs 2,255 reviews and a 4.4 average, high volume for a mid-tier off-Strip breakfast room that doesn't fill seats with convention traffic.

The operating pattern tells the story. Open seven days, 7 AM to 3 PM, breakfast-and-lunch only, no dinner service. The room is built for the locals breakfast crowd and the weekend brunch line, not for the tourist trade. West Charleston between Rancho and Decatur is a residential corridor; the foot traffic is neighborhood, not destination.

The menu is the canon, omelets, pancakes, breakfast platters, which the room has been running for forty-six years. The longevity isn't an accident. Vegas restaurants that run breakfast-only on the Westside don't survive in a city this expansion-driven without a regular base that comes back. The 2,255-review depth confirms the base.

For a Westside breakfast where the question is "is this place going to be open and is the line going to move," the answer at Omelet House is yes and yes. The 3 PM close is the only catch, the room doesn't do dinner.

Weekday morning, 7 to 9 AM, seats faster than weekend brunch. Weekend lines stack up by 9 AM and stay long until close.

№ 04 · The Verdict

What earns the 7.8

01
Forty-six years running

The Denver Omelet and blueberry pancakes have anchored the same menu since 1979, and the room never bothered chasing a dinner service to prove it could do more.

02
Built for locals

West Charleston's residential corridor supplies the regular base that a breakfast-and-lunch-only operation needs to survive a city built on expansion.

03
The 3 PM limit

Closing before dinner is the one constraint, and it is also the discipline that has kept the operating pattern intact for nearly five decades.

How we score

The Insider Score is our own 10-point editorial rating, set by the writer who covers the room. It is never an average of other sites’ stars, and it is never for sale. It weighs three things:

01Track record

How highly a kitchen rates, across how many diners, over how long.

02Consistency

Whether recent diners still agree with the long-term verdict.

03Distinction

What the kitchen does that its category does not.

Omelet House earns a 7.8, excellent on our scale for Breakfast & Brunch in Las Vegas.
