Matsu Ramen & Katsu, the room on south Jones that ran tonkotsu ramen and chicken katsu as co-equal anchors, has closed. Our checks flagged it this week, on the second confirmed sighting.
Matsu held the No. 6 spot on our ramen guide, which now runs 14 rooms deep. The guide re-numbers automatically when a room closes, so the count you see is always the count that is actually open.
South Jones loses a weekday default with this one. The Monday closure was already the planning note for regulars; now the note is permanent.
